In a span of one month, I've (errr...me and my daughter) attended 6 birthday parties and 4 out of those are Disney princess themed party. My daughter eventually grew tired of the princess themed and I can't blame her.
I then thought of a Chinese Princess themed parteeyyy! Instead of gowns, feather scarves and wands you can buy different colors of
chinese dresses for girls, chinese fans, hair accessories such as comb clips and ribbons, and don't forget to add a little (skin-friendly) cosmetics (that includes red nail polish!).
To really make the party a blast, adorn the party area with Chinese accents such as lanterns, Chinese characters, Chinese songs, Chinese activity books and materials, and a bowl of fortune cookies.
For the cake: you can DIY cupcakes topped with Chinese letters and numbers
For the lootbags: you can have Chinese boxes (ones you normally have on Chinese take outs) personalized it by pasting on your child's name on the front and a thank you not on the back. Place little Chinese goodies inside (candies, chocolates, purses, etc)
The
Chinese dresses for girls you bought could also serve as your giveaway. With these you can buy by bulk and save more.
For invites: you can print a cute Chinese inspired invitation and put it on red envelopes
You don't need to spend so much to have great birthday parties. A little imagination and a lot of patience helps! :) DIY as much as you can and it'll be more special since your kid knows it's from labor of love.

That sounds like a lot of fun. And, of course, it has fabulous costumes for the little ones.
Love the dress. Just beautiful. What a fun theme to have for a party. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.
