Hurray to all Chinese-American veterans! November 11 marks the celebration of Veterans Day. I’m seriously thinking about dressing up my daughter in a chinese girl's dress just to mark the occasion.
Anyways, here’s something for all our friends in San Diego:
Be sure to catch the fun with the family as you become part of this year’s celebration of Veterans Day in downtown San Diego. As the city pays tributes to distinguished veterans, lots of activities are lined up for this special event.
Tuesday (Nov.10)
Program at Chinese museum: Annual Veterans Day luncheon at the San Diego Chinese Historical Museum will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The presentation to honor Chinese-American veterans will be in the museum’s garden, 404 Third Ave., San Diego. You also might want to take advantage of an opportunity to visit the Museum of San Diego History. Admission is free (children age 12 & younger must be accompanied by an adult)
Wednesday (Nov.11)
The day will be about parades and various activities to honor the veterans. The Veterans day Parade will begin at 11:00 am and will start at Pacific Highway and Cedar Street and proceed south to West Harbor Drive.
