Making New Year's resolutions has obviously become a traditional thing for most of us. Almost everyone I know is excited about making New Year’s resolutions. The year offers us a fresh start, so we indulge the idea of new beginnings. We want to set goals and achieve things: a higher paying job, more time to do what we want, a healthier lifestyle, etc.
Making those New Year's resolutions is relatively easy. I doubt if there’s even a science to it. The challenge for all of us is keeping them. This should be our focus. Is the resolution we want realistic enough or are you setting ourselves up for yet another frustration? Before you make those resolutions, look back and reflect on those you kept, or broke last year.
Make more realistic New Year's resolutions this time. Lose weight, stop smoking and kick other bad habits are just some of the popular ones we make each year (which conversely are the hardest ones to keep). Here are some other good resolutions you might want to consider:
1. Read the whole Bible.
2. Learn a skill or a new language, e.g., Chinese.
3. Get organized.
4. Spend more quality time with family.
5. Save more.
6. Change careers.
7. Have a more positive outlook in life.
8. Bless your family more, e.g., get pretty girl holiday dresses for your daughter, or some books for your son.
9. Make more friends.
10. Pick up a sport.
Good Luck!
