Fun Easter Facts

My daughter loves Easter and everything about it: pretty girls easter dresses, colorful jelly beans, exciting Easter egg hunts, and the super cute Easter Bunny!

Here are some fun facts you can share with your daughter about Easter:

The tradition of Easter Egg hiding game was started in America. Parents often hide eggs in the garden for children to find. Sometimes their children leave out carrots for the Easter Bunny too.

Each year children make nests which they believe the Easter Bunny would fill the with brightly-colored and decorated eggs.

Easter always take place on any Sunday between March 22 and April 25.

The egg is considered to be the symbol of rebirth.

Traditional making of Easter baskets arose from the Catholic custom of bringing Easter dinner food to mass to be blessed.

About 90 million chocolate bunnies are produced each year.

The practice of Easter egg painting is called Pysanka.

In the Greek Orthodox culture, Easter eggs are traditionally painted red.

According to a survey, 76% of people prefer to eat the ears of a chocolate Easter bunny first.
