McDonald's Recalls Shrek Drinking Glasses

McDonald's is urging the public to stop using the “Shrek Forever After” drinking glasses due to potential health risks. The fast food chain has issued a recall on 12 million collectible glasses after it discovered that the company that made them used cadmium on the glasses' designs.

McDonald’s believe the glasses themselves are safe for use, but the designs that featured Shrek, Donkey, Fiona and Puss on the glasses contain cadmium which is known to cause bone softening and severe kidney problems. So if you happen to be one of the unlucky 12 million who bought the Shrek themed glasses for your kids, please stop using them immediately.
