I've been mentioning in my blogs a lot about preserving memorabilia as a way to keep memories alive through the years. It may seem like a lot of trouble to keep all your baby’s firsts, but nothing can match the warmth you will feel when you look at these a few years from now. Their first tooth, a lock of hair, baby shoes, Christening gowns, etc., are all guaranteed to bring back many memories that will forever enshrine those special moments time.

I must admit I have gone a bit far. I have made a scrapbook of my daughter’s old things and I flip through and add to its pages at least once a month. I even keep photos of my daughter in her beautiful dresses as part of our trip down to memory lane. The actual dresses are tucked safely in a memory box. Here is what I have managed to keep all these years.

· My baby's first baby clothes when we brought her back from the hospital
· Her Christening Gown. After all, it was hard to find affordable and good quality Christening dresses, and it is still is! I am definitely keeping this one. Maybe my future grandchild can use it.
· My daughter’s birthday dresses.
· And her lovely sweet sixteen dress. Not to mention the dresses she wore to school dances and graduation celebrations.

My husband used to laugh at me for keeping all these years. But now that our daughter’s all grown up, I know it always bring tears to his eyes to take a trip down memory lane with me.
