Philippines as wedding venue to tourists

Philippines now being pitched as wedding venue to tourists - A friend of mine who visited there had a great time there, he visited a friends resort and the cost was very reasonable. He was sent there on business. The focus in on Japanese, since there are 450,000 Japanese marriages outside Japan every year. My understanding is it makes more economical sense because of the high cost of having a wedding in Japan.
