I found this news article and it really bothers me. Apparently, American Girl released a new doll named Gwen which is actually a homeless doll. My initial reaction was that the company is raising funds for the homeless so the $95 price tag was justified. But when I read the article fully, I was aghast.
Will you buy this for your child? (click to read)Personally, I will never buy such a pricey doll for my daughter. Is this an attempt to "educate" children about homeless persons? If so, bad move.
Girl's dresses from us are way cheaper than a pricey nonsense doll.
