Who's she gonna be?

October is the costume month as I like to put it because of two occasions that we love to dress our kids up. First is the United Nations Celebration and of course the Halloween.

With the economic crisis as wise parents you should sit down and think if you have to buy two different costumes for each occasions of simply buy one and use it for both celebrations. Just use a little creativity to change the look of the costume and I bet it would look good as new.

This is exactly what my friend's kid is doing. There's too much going on in the world that buying two different costumes would be too much.

Let me give you a specific example.

Your kid could wear a girl's formal dress for the United Nations Celebration and use it to be a fairy or princess in Halloween.

Step it a notch, she can be a Chinese Princess for the United Nations and be a Chinese vampire (hello: Edward and Bella) in Halloween.

Whatever way you choose to spend the occasions this month, I hope you and your kid will have a blast! :)
