Earlier today my daughter and I saw many people from the Church with ash crosses on their foreheads on our way home. We suddenly had a conversation about communions and other Church-related stuff, then our topic shifted to Easter and, of course
girls Easter dresses. We had a great talk.
So just minutes ago, the idea of reading the Bible came to me. I don’t mean to sound preachy but what do you think about us moms reading the Bible to our kids every night of Lent? We can use this time to teach our kids about Jesus and the good news of salvation. Especially if your daughter has a first communion coming up, teaching her the wisdom behind it will certainly help her appreciate this exercise of faith. It would also be great to talk about the Last Supper and how her First Communion relates to this
