Even Princess Di liked little black dresses!

On their engagement party, Princess Diana, who was 19 then, wore a black dress designed by the Emmanuels for her. Apparently, Prince Charles  didn't like the black dress because he said black is for mourning but Princess D thought nothing of it and wore it with such innocence and in born grace. It was such a success that the dress made so much uproar and this was then the start of the evolution of Princess D as a fashion icon.
