First Communion Dress that Will Make Your Daughter Look Like A Princess

If you have a First Communion on the way for your little girl then I'm sure that you are thinking about First Communion dresses. A First Communion dress is so important because it is very symbolic, standing for the relationship of your little girl with the Creator. Choosing the right First Holy Communion dress is important.

The first thing that you'll need to decide is what color to go with. First Communion dresses for girls come in many different colors, but most parents choose to go with white, simply because of the symbolism. 1st Communion dresses are white because they symbolize the marriage of Christ and your child, where the Bride and Bridegroom become one.

You'll also want to determine how much you are wanting to spend on one, and where the best places to get one are. There are no specific requirements for a First Communion dress, and buying First Holy Communion Dresses from a Catholic store, or specialty party store will cause you to pay more for the dress than you actual need to. Look in your local kids clothing store first, before you visit the specialty stores.
Of course, that advice only works if you are planning on the dress only. If you are looking for the full outfit, such as accessories like First Communion veils and the like then your only choice may be to shop at Catholic shops of specialty stores where they will have the full workup of girls First Communion dress and accessories.
Some of the common accessories that you find with these First Communion dresses include the veil, as well as matching gloves and headpieces to adorn your little girl. You can also get sweaters, shawls or jackets for First Communion celebrations that may be in colder weather as well as many other accessories, depending upon how much a full outfit you want to go with.

For a First Communion dress from a specialty store or website expect to pay somewhere between $100 and $300 for the dress itself. There are new styles each year of dress, so you may be able to pay less by buying last year's or previous styles, but generally for brand new dresses that is the price that you can expect to pay.
For accessories such as gloves and veils and the like you will pay around $10 to $20, as well as for headpieces. Again, if you can find a site that is selling out of style First Communion dresses you may be able to pay quite a bit less. You can also add necklaces, rosary beads or purses with the dress and accessories that you are looking at.

You also won't want to forget shoes, which will run a bit more than the other accessories. First Communion shoes are fairly simple and match the dress color, and can run from $20 to $50 depending upon which site you visit, and which type of shoe that you pick.

Good luck on your  quest in finding the right First Communion Dress!
