We live in the time of avant-garde fashion, when it pays to wear out-of-the-box clothing.

Head turning? Yes. Easy to wear? No.
There are a lot of brides opting for this very modern fashion style. I must admit, the whole look gives a wedding that dash of drama and color as, one-by-one, the entourage walks down the aisle.

Wearing modern clothing goes beyond wearing a particular style that looks good on you. It’s all about attitude. And unfortunately, I admit that I don’t have that shout-out-loud style that makes heads turn. That’s why I still have a penchant for traditional styles. And when it comes to my daughter’s outfits, I welcome classic flower girl dresses with open arms.

Call me old fashioned, but I love the lace, ribbons, puffiness, and old-school charm that a classic flower girl dress offers. I love how these dresses bounce as lively as the smile on my daughter’s face, and how they’ll always be in fashion. Well, somewhat. But it doesn’t mean I’ve crossed off the possibility of wearing a modern dress. We’ll never know what the fashion fairy has in store for me. Timely enough, a friend has just emailed about her upcoming wedding. So we’ll know soon enough.
