It's that time of the
year when graduations happen in different schools across the country.
It seems just a few years ago when we went through our very own
graduation ceremony. And then we grew, got jobs, and had a family.
And in what seems like a blink of an eye, it's now our children's
turn to go through this wonderful event.
As parents we always
wonder what our child would wear. Since our own graduation ceremonies
until now, the fashion has changed dramatically. We wonder if the
style of suit or dress we wore when we graduated from middle school,
high school, or even college is still appropriate today. Don't worry
my fellow parents, I have a few quick tips to help you out.
- Pick a simple and
classic style – for boys, choose a simple black suit, or just a
solid color long sleeve polo and dark colored pants. For girls,
graduation dresses should also be simple, light colored and at most
knee length.
- Choose light fabrics –
because sometimes they will wear a graduation gown over their clothing
so look for fabrics that are not too heavy and dark colored. Look for
light and brightly colored fabrics. Your child might feel like
they're in a sauna under that heavy graduation gown.
- Go
online to shop –
there are many sites catering to graduation dresses and clothes for
boys and girls. This will help you save time and money looking for
that perfect graduation outfit.
- Have
your child choose with
you – have your child beside you when choosing their outfit. They
will be happy and feel great in what they are wearing.
