As a mom who has shared quite a few flower girl moments with my daughter, I can tell you straight off that this is not always a smooth sailing time. I have found myself in situations where the arrival of the dress was uncertain. There was a time I didn’t see the dress until the day of the wedding.
To avoid these situations, my best advice to fellow moms is to be proactive. Believe me, brides need all the help they can get. What I do is to immediately ask the bride if I can be of any help with her flower girl dresses. I offer to either help her schedule fittings, or choose the flower girl dresses altogether. Not many moms may agree to this, but this has made my daughter’s flower girl experiences pleasant and stress-free. And at the end of the day, the bride will thank you for it.
