I’m always writing letters to my fellow moms, but today I’m inspired to write directly to our precious little girls on tips about being the most memorable flower girl to grace a wedding. Here it goes.

Darlings, you will always remember these times for quaint flower bouquets, lovely flower girl dresses, and wonderful times with friends and family. So enjoy every minute! While most of your work happens on the day itself, it helps to be prepared. Here is a small checklist to help you out:

· Feel comfortable in your dress. Try on several flower girl dresses you’ve worn in the past (just in case your dress arrives late—or on the day itself!) and do a few practice runs down a make-believe aisle.
· Tell your mom to bring you to the wedding early. When you get to the church, go to the front door of the church and wait for the wedding coordinator to assemble you.
· When it’s your turn to walk, take a few deep breaths, smile and walk slowly. Enjoy all the attention, you deserve it!

When the party is done, take off your flower girl dress carefully. Your mom will probably have it cleaned, and then you can hang it in your closet. You never know when you wear it again, share it with a sister, later on, pass it on to your daughter.
