I attended a beautiful wedding with my husband last Sunday. It has been a while since I’ve seen a bride wear a shade of immaculate white. And let me tell you it was so beautiful. I would love to share the experience with all of you!

The wedding’s motif was red. Traditionally, red means power and success. Since the couple was Chinese, they really capitalized on the symbolism of the color, and I was delighted to see how effectively they used it. Too much red can come across negatively, so they used it sparingly, highlighting the crispness and purity of the color white.

The bride wore a classic gown. It was a tube dress matched with a ball gown skirt that extended to a trail of several feet in the back. The dress was pure white highlighted by a red sash. The final accent to her look was a bouquet of red roses. Although I must say that her outfit came only second to the bride’s exuberance.

Meanwhile, the rest of the entourage featured my favorite flower girl dresses. Unlike other weddings with intricate designs for flower girl dresses, my friend opted to keep it simple. Little girls wore a one-cut, pleated white dress with puffy sleeves. Their hint of color was in the beautiful headdress of red roses that each one wore.
Beauty is indeed in simplicity. And this wedding was a refreshing and inspiring experience.
