I have a close friend who just gave birth to her second child, a daughter. Everyone is delighted to welcome this bundle of joy! Especially since her eldest is now 9 years old, and she didn’t think she’d be pregnant again.

Safe to say, it’s been a while since she’s had a newborn. And she recently asked me on the new trends when it comes to infants. While I don’t have a newborn myself, I do know a bit about dresses. And so I gave her my two cents.

First, I told her to enjoy her daughter! There are so many wonderful clothes available today, from bold colors, to prints, to pastels. She can practically dress up her little girl in a different quality outfit everyday without breaking the bank.
Next, I shared with her my recent orders for Christening dresses. Majority of my clients have been opting for shorter christening dresses, rather than the traditional long ones. They say the baby is more comfortable and thus stays happier.

Lastly, look for garments that can breathe. For a newborn, cotton is her best bet. The fabric allows air to circulate and will not cause her baby the itchies. It’s one of the most comfortable to wear.
