Having Three Children is more stressful than having Four

I stumbled upon this post in dailymail.co.uk saying why three is the most stressed number of children to have – but mother’s of four are more relaxed. I find this amusing because I thought that the more children a mother has, the more stressed out she’ll be. But not according to Today.com’s survey showing that transitioning from two to three children is overwhelming for parents because it means they are outnumbered. When they reached four, mothers usually tends to 'let go' and relax.

It is said in the article that going from one to two was an easy, breezy transition but when two and three comes along, everything was turned upside-down. One reason was because mothers only have two hands therefore not having enough hands to hold onto while crossing the streets with three kids was a cause of stress. One mom said that having an even number of kids is easier to handle since each child automatically has a playmate.
