Wishlist and Registry

I received an inquiry the other day about the wishlist function. Her lovely daughter is celebrating her 7th birthday and she wants to have a registry list wherein friends will know which girls party dresses from Elitedresses her daughter want the most.

So for everyone's information I'm sharing the Add to Wishlist and Add to Registry functions:

ADD TO WISHLIST
- use this if you don't want others to see the list. This will be recorded on your account for your future reference. Example today you bought a nice flower girl dress from us and you spotted a cute party dress but unfortunately the little girl won't need, all you have to do is click on the ADD TO WISHLIST button and the information will be saved on your account. After a few weeks (or months!) your little girl is in need of a party dress and remembering the one you found from Elitedresses, you came back and viola! it's stored on your account :)

ADD TO REGISTRY
- now this one, you need to have an account at Wishpot.com. It's a 3rd party site wherein all of your wishes (from all over the internet) will be stored. When you click on one (or more!) of our dresses, a link together with all the information you need will be available for viewing (publicly) at your wishpot account. You can share your LINK at wishpot.com with your friends and when they decide to buy one of your wishes, they simply click on the link and they will be brought to the website of that specific product!

Brose through our Girls Party dresses category or Flower girl dresses category and click away!

How cool is that?

So now that you know these awesome functions, I hope you'll be able to find good use with them!

Girls Get All Dolled Up For A Tea Party

Several girls aged 5-10 enjoyed dressing up for a tea party hosted at the mansion at the stone-walled Hearthside. The little girls all donned long Victorian dresses and brought with them equally dolled up American dolls. It must have been a cute sight!

According to this, some girls wore the same tea party dresses as that of their dolls. The girls said that American dolls are their favorites because of the story behind each one. I think it's nice that folks organize fun and educational parties such as this one.

I hope more will be organized in the future!

Canada Shipping Delay

We ship via the US Post Office, which then passes the packages off to Canadian Post.

Which is on strike and this means any shipments to Canada from us will be delayed.

Nice Return Note

We get the nicest notes on our returns!

I just want to tell you how much I have enjoyed doing business with you.  I looked for a year to find the perfect dress for my flower girls.  My Mother read about your web site so we immediately went to your site and found these dresses.  Your prices were great and to my delight the dresses were here within a week.  I can't wait until my wedding so I can upload pictures of the dresses along with my highest praise for your business.  I have already passed your website along to my friends.  Thank you so much for being a trusted website and business.

Phone Order Compliment

A very nice compliment from a phone order:

Of all the places I called, you were the most helpful, took your time, and I am going to buy many more dresses from you!

Of Jeggings, Pajama Jeans and Junderpants!

First I heard of jeggings- one that has the look of a jeans but the comfort of a leggings. Then recently I heard about jorts which are short leggings. My daughter has been wearing leggings to pair with her short dresses and long blouses. I even see some of my friends wear them but jorts I have not seen anyone I know sporting it.
And so I also heard about pajama jeans which I have not seen much more worn. But by the sound of it, I feel like it's very comfortable and I'm curious. What I really can't take is the junderpants. Apparently a junderpants is a term coined to call an underpants that looks like a jeans. It's like one of those jeans diapers from Huggies!

It's cute when babies wear them but for adults, I don't think so!
How about you, what do you think?

Kate Middleton Boosts Online Buying Rate

It's amazing how powerful the Duchess of Cambridge is. Imagine minutes after reading/seeing the nude dress from Reiss that the Duchess wore during her meeting with US First Lady, Michelle Obama, the Reiss website crashed because so many people were trying to buy the dress. The dress costs a fraction of what FL Michelle Obama and Ms. Sam Cameron wore which only proves that designer dresses could look so cheap while cheap girls dresses could look so expensive. Also it shows that one does not need to wear expensive dresses to look good as long as the fabric quality is good, the cut and shape compliments your body type and most specially, you feel comfortable wearing it.

This was a nice start from the newly wed Duchess who looks very comfortable being a Royal family member (I can't imagine being not comfortable!). I hope she follows through in her next "appearance".
