Newlyweds shun wedding cake for giant cheeseburger - I guess... I had carrot cake made from scratch at my wedding, with real butter cream frosting. It was a nice change from the usual white or chocolate wedding cakes with butter cream frosting made from Cristco.

I had a typo on the subject line of my newsletter. Embarrassing. And I don't want to send out a second newsletter, because people don't appreciate getting two many E-Mails. May be in a day or two I will send out another with a special deal as an apology.

Tradition With A Twist At Chinese Weddings from NPR. My favorite picture is of the Chinese lady and her white husband, both in traditional Chinese wear.

I am surprised that anyone would want to have a performance by people dressed up as the Red Guard with tunes from the Cultural Revolution! Kissing at Chinese weddings in China it seems was unusual, but in the US it's not. The posed pictures is one I missed at my wedding, but we did a couple of years later in Taiwan. I am going to test out stocking women size Chinese Dresses QiPao's.

Some nice ideas:

• Borrow one time use items if possible.
• Schedule venues for Friday or Saturday may reduce costs
• If another couple shares a venue on the same day, see if you can split the flower costs.
• Ask for discounts from your photographer, etc. The worst they can say is no.
• Have a mid-afternoon wedding and serve cake and punch, instead of a meal (my wedding).
  
• Shop online to save - like Elitedresses for flower girl dresses!

Philippines now being pitched as wedding venue to tourists - A friend of mine who visited there had a great time there, he visited a friends resort and the cost was very reasonable. He was sent there on business. The focus in on Japanese, since there are 450,000 Japanese marriages outside Japan every year. My understanding is it makes more economical sense because of the high cost of having a wedding in Japan.

The article has some good suggestions on working out financial issues. The one about running a marriage like a business I am not sure about.

Size 16 Chinese Dress Problem

The recent batch of Chinese Dresses I got in, the size 16 is a bit small. So I am probably going to take them off till I can get a real size 16. I am frustrated by this.

It's hard to come up with interesting topics everyday, so I am going to take a break and re-charge. And go work some more on the reviews :-) As well as entering some inventory I got of Chinese Girl's Dresses. And may be take some Ao Dai pictures that are just laying there, including a Boy's Ao Dai.
