A Customer’s Crafty Modification

The other day, I came across an email from a customer who recently bought a Rose colored, off-shoulder dress, with an A-line gathered satin skirt for her daughter. You can check out the dress here.

It was such a pleasant surprise reading how she altered the dress for her daughter who joined a local pageant a few days ago. I am so happy that she sent pictures of the dress and how she made the changes.

Checkout these crafty ideas.

First, she removed the sleeve caps and used them to expand the bodice.

Next, she applied lace appliques over the extra seams.

Then, she shortened the length by raising the skirt to an empire waistline.

Viola! Her daughter’s beautiful, one-of-a-kind, pageant dress is finished!
