I was just reading an article on huffingtonpost.com about a mother who spent over $500,000.00 for her twin girls who competed in different pageants. You can read the article here, http://www. huffingtonpost.com/2012/05/08/ toddlers-tiaras-500k-tiara- twins_n_1500569.html. Would you believe that she spent $8,000.00 on just one pageant dress? I believe that’s a bit too much too spend on one dress. And during these times when we tighten our belts, we can find ways to create a “thousand dollar dress” with some creativity and a few sewing skills. If you can’t sew, maybe you can ask help from a friend or relative.
